The legislated purpose of the Board is to achieve the State’s desired results for families with young children. The Board shall have the responsibility for setting policies, administering Early Childhood Iowa grant funds available from federal, state, local, and private resources to designated areas, and conducting the affairs and business of the local ECI area in compliance with applicable state laws and regulations.

Board meetings are held at the Waverly Public Library, 1500 W Bremer Ave, Waverly, IA 50677. Meeting notices are posted at the Waverly Public Library at least 24 hours in advance. Meetings are open to the public. Minutes will be published following Board approval.
